As much as we love tile, we realize that it takes passion and talent to transform it into the floor, kitchen or bathroom of your dreams. In this article, we interview Christopher Torres, Owner and Operator of Master Touch Installations, based in the Fort Myers area.

He shares with us perspective on his background, his business, tile and three beautiful before and after tile installations.

Meet Christopher Torres, Owner and Operator of Master Touch Installations Inc. who shares 3 before and after tile installations.

TOA: Chris, tell us about yourself and your background?

CT: I am originally from Peru. I moved to Cape Coral, Florida with my family in 2001.

Other than owning and operating Master Touch Installations Inc, I also work as a Firefighter at Lehigh Acres Fire Department and proudly serve in the United States Army Reserves.

I can honestly say I have the best jobs in the World.

TOA: How long have you been in the Fort Myers Area?

CT: I have been in the Fort Myers area for 17 years now.

TOA: How did Master Touch Installations get started?

CT: I started Master Touch Installations Inc., back in 2005 just a few years after graduating High School. I can still remember sitting for my contractor’s exam and realizing I was the youngest guy there. I will never forget knocking door to door and standing outside stores passing out flyers, but now looking back at all those long days and long nights, they were all worth it.

I wanted to create a company built on trust, customer service and quality and that continues to this day. We still believe in that.

TOA: Do you specialize in specific types of tile installations?

CT: I personally love the look of stones and travertines.

We have done some beautiful jobs and we always enjoy designing them. Our professional installers have experience in different types of flooring and we have always worked with our customers to accomplish anything they wish to have, but if there is something we specialize in, it will be on going above and beyond our customer’s expectations.

TOA: Chris, in what geographic locations does Master Touch Installations install?

CT: Primarily in Lee County, Florida.

TOA: Which tile products do you and your clients find most interesting right now?

CT: Lately, we have been doing a lot of work with travertines and stones.

French and Versailles patterns are very popular, but we also have customers asking more and more for the wood plank tiles.

TOA: Which are your 3 favorite before and after tile installations and why?

CT: We love working with stones and travertines.

On this project the homeowner showed us a picture from a home magazine and asked us if we could do something like it. After long hours designing it and planning it, it was pretty safe to say that we made her bathroom look way better than the one in the magazine!

Below you see the bathroom before installation had started.

We used the 6x6 Royal Scabos Tumbled Travertine, Chiaro Honed Listellos 4x12 and the Classic Travertine 1x12 from Tile Outlets of America to create this beautiful masterpiece you see below.

We love seeing the faces of our customers when they come back to their homes and see a whole different house. It is amazing the difference we can make on some people just by giving them not just a new floor but definitely some Art!

TOA: What do you like most about Tile Outlets of America?

CT: I love the large selection they have, and, as a Flooring Contractor, knowing we have a very knowledgeable and very supportive team working there is very important.
