Meet Gonzalo Zarate, Trade Pro Manager in Tampa

The Tampa Tile Outlets of America store has a new Trade Pro Manager: Gonzalo Zarate. Have you met him? He took over when Javier Garcia become Assistant Store Manager in Tampa.
We caught up with Gonzalo to ask him a few questions and learn more about him.
Introducing Gonzalo Zarate, Trade Pro Manager in Tile Outlets Tampa
TOA: Gonzalo, tell us about yourself and your background. Are you from the Tampa area?
GZ: I was born and raised in Tampa Florida, and have been in the tile business since 2016.
I started out working as a helper on job sites, then became a sales rep and worked my way up to department manager positions.
TOA: How did you get started with Tile Outlets of America?
GZ: I started working for Tile Outlets of America in early 2021 and have now been at the Tampa location for close to a year.
TOA: As the Trade Pro Manager in the Tampa store, what are your priorities?
GZ: As the new Trade Pro manager for Tile Outlets of America, my priorities are to continue to build our current relationships with our local contractors.
I also want to encourage new installation contractors who have not had the opportunity to shop with us to become part of the Trade Pro program.
TOA: What do you love most about your new position?
GZ: Helping bridge the gap between contractors and the retail side of business is the favorite part of my new position.
Being bilingual and able to understand the contractors' needs and wants help me to keep our relationships strong with our trade pros.
I’m proud to be a resource for them.

TOA: Which are your favorite products available at Tile Outlets? Why?
GZ: My favorite product available at Tile Outlets of America would have to be our wall tile selection that feature new trends and coordinating bullnoses that make selecting product for a shower quick and easy for contractors and offer the home owner more options to choose from.
Our line of Ontario wall, floor, and mosaic tiles are my favorite because you can choose from different tones of light to dark and coordinate everything so it all flows beautifully together at a great price!
TOA: Do you have a favorite installation in the Inspiration Area?
GZ: My favorite build out in our inspiration area would have to be the outside kitchen build that features our silver travertine stack stone ledger panel and corner panels.
Once a customer sees the build out they fall in love!
TOA: What advice do you have for first time contactor customers?
GZ: My advice to any new contractor customers would be to take advantage of the Trade Pro benefits.
Aside from the great saving and rebates we offer to our contractors, we are able to have their orders pulled and ready for pickup!
TOA: What are the top questions that Trade Pros ask you?
GZ: The top questions I receive from pros are:
- What new products can I offer to my clients?
- What benefits do I receive for being a trade pro customer?

GZ: Outside of Tile Outlets I enjoy painting, art, and working out.
Mostly painting is what comes to mind first, appreciating all styles of art, and working out to stay active and healthy!
