Meet Hanssel Cardentey, Trade Pro Manager in Tampa

The Tampa Tile Outlets of America store has a new Trade Pro Manager: Hanssel Cardentey. Have you met him? We caught up with Hanssel to ask him a few questions and learn more about him.
Introducing Hanssel Cardentey, Tampa's Trade Pro Manager
TOA: Hanssel, tell us about yourself and your background. Are you from the Tampa area?
HC: I was born in Cuba and came to the United states of America when I was 10. I lived in Miami for 5 years and then moved to Tampa and have lived here since then.
Since I was young, I’ve always been able to make friends quickly and adapt to my surroundings. I am trustworthy and will always go out my way to help those in need. I’ve been taught to be nice to others and respect everyone no matter what.
TOA: How did you get started with Tile Outlets of America?
HC: I came across a job opening at Tile Outlets of America in November of 2018 thanks to a friend who had been working there for a couple of months. I applied and was given an opportunity to start my career as a cashier.
Over the years I’ve grown at the company and have accomplished many things, with the most recent accomplishment being promoted to Trade Pro Manager.
TOA: As the Trade Pro Manager in the Tampa store, what are your priorities?
HC: This is a good time to review my priorities and goals. As the newcomer Trade Pro Manager, I want to build a strong relationship with our trade professionals and contractors. I would like for them to know that I am available for them 24/7 and to not hesitate to contact me if they ever need assistance.
Another one of my priorities is to strengthen my work relationship with my fellow sales representatives and assist them. I want them to be successful and invite them to come to me with any questions or concerns they might have. I believe that by unifying our efforts we can provide extraordinary customer service and guarantee 100% satisfaction for our contractors and customers.
My number one goal is to finish out the year with all my priorities accomplished, and for Tile Outlets of America and its employees to be successful.
Our recent Trade Pro Manager Gonzalo Zarate did an excellent job over the years and made the transition very easy by assisting me and getting me comfortable in the new position.
While providing me with tips and tricks, he also wished me success and provided me with all his knowledge he had accumulated throughout the years.
TOA: What do you love most about the Trade Pro Manager position?
HC: I love most that I have the opportunity to build connections with fellow contractors and customers. I can be a shoulder they can lean on to assist them in being successful with their own company. That has to be what gives me the most joy.
TOA: Which are your favorite products?
HC: Being a first point of contact with our customers and contractors has made me truly appreciate and love the products that Tile Outlets of America offers so that they can make their dream houses come to life.
My personal favorite has to be our huge selection of 24x48 Rectified porcelains simply because they offer an extraordinary modern look and provide excellent value to our client’s houses.
I always do my best to show our contractors and customers our Inspiration Area where we highlight new products and what’s currently trending.
TOA: Which is your favorite Inspiration Area installation?
HC: My favorite installations showcase the new very large gauged porcelain panels which come in different sizes and provide a marvelous look to any walls or floors they are installed on.
TOA: What advice do you have for first time contractor customers?
HC: Visiting our store can get a little overwhelming due to our huge selections of wall tile, floor tile and backsplash tile and mosaics.
My advice for any new contractor who comes through our doors, is to ask for assistance from any of our highly knowledgeable sales reps or to ask for me personally. I would love to give them a tour through our store and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
TOA: What are some of the top questions Trade Pros ask?
HC: Trade Pros ask many questions about the Tile Outlets of America Trade Pro program such as what benefits we offer contractors, how does our rebate programs work, what discounts we offer for tile or installation materials etc.…

HC: Trade pro contractors can call me at any time of the day through my personal cell phone number - 813-278-2755. I look forward to helping them and answering their questions.
TOA: What do you like to do outside of work at Tile Outlets of America?
HC: Outside of work, I spend a great deal of time playing sports like tennis, baseball, and soccer. I have a lot of energy!
When I’m not doing that, I’m normally at home, helping my fiancée with house chores or hanging out with my family.
