When do I use a T-molding instead of a reducer?
Use a T-mold when the two floors meeting are the same height — like LVT to LVT in a doorway. If one floor is taller than the other, use a reducer instead.
Why do floating floors need T-molding in doorways?
Floating floors expand and contract with temperature and humidity. A T-mold covers the expansion gap between rooms while letting each section move independently, preventing buckling.
How do I match a T-mold to my flooring?
Each T-mold in this collection is finished to coordinate with a specific plank color from our LVT and laminate lines. Order the molding named for your floor, ideally in the same order as the flooring.
How long are your T-moldings?
Most are 94 inches, with some lines at 72 inches. For wider openings, use two pieces with a tight butt seam at the center.
