Product Overview
Kerdi-Board building panel in the 2-inch thickness is the heavy-duty version pros use to build benches, curbs, half-walls, and shelves in a tiled shower. The rigid extruded polystyrene core carries the structure while giving you a bonded, tile-ready face, so you shape wet-area features without pouring mortar or stacking block.
This panel measures 2 inches thick by 24-1/2 inches wide by 96 inches long, enough material to fabricate a bench or knee wall and still have stock for smaller details. Cut it to size, fasten and glue the pieces, then band the seams with Kerdi-Band before tiling.
Contractors build shower features on thick Kerdi-Board because it is light, square, and ready for tile straight off the cut. Tile Outlets stocks it with the fasteners and banding the job needs.
