Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of flooring does Tile Outlets of America carry?
This collection brings together every floor we sell: porcelain and ceramic floor tile, luxury vinyl plank (LVP/SPC), engineered hardwood, and laminate. Wall tile, mosaics, trim, and installation products live in their own categories.
Which flooring is best for a Florida home?
Porcelain floor tile and waterproof luxury vinyl plank both handle humidity, sand, and spills without swelling or cupping, which makes them the two most popular choices in our showrooms. Engineered hardwood is a good fit for living and bedroom areas where you want real wood, and laminate is the value pick for low-moisture rooms.
What is the difference between LVP, laminate, and engineered hardwood?
LVP is 100% waterproof vinyl over a rigid core and installs almost anywhere. Laminate uses a wood-fiber core with a printed wear layer — tougher on scratches, but only water-resistant grades belong near moisture. Engineered hardwood has a genuine hardwood veneer over a stable plywood core, so it looks and feels like solid wood but resists movement better.
Can I order a sample before I buy?
Yes. Most flooring here has a sample available so you can check color, texture, and finish in your own light before committing to a full order. Samples ship fast.
Is flooring in stock and ready to pick up?
In-stock SKUs are ready to ship or pick up the same day at our Flooring Supercenters in Fort Myers, Sarasota, and Tampa. Stock quantities show on each product page.
How much flooring should I order?
Measure your square footage and add 10% for cuts and waste — 15% for diagonal or herringbone layouts. Order it all at once so every box comes from the same production run and the color matches.
