This square-notch trowel with a DuraSoft handle carries a 1/2 x 3/4 x 1/2" notch, built for large-format and heavy tile that demand maximum mortar coverage. The wide, deep notch lays down a thick thinset bed so oversized porcelain and stone get full support with fewer voids. It's a pro-grade trowel for big-tile and panel work.
The 1/2 x 3/4" square notch meters more mortar per pass than a standard notch, which helps you hit coverage on large, flat pieces, while the DuraSoft handle eases the extra effort a big trowel takes. Comb in one direction, then set and beat in the tile to flatten the ridges. Works with modified and unmodified mortars.
