Toscano Cotto 20x20 Terracotta Look Porcelain Tile Features & Specifications

Product Overview

Toscano Cotto channels a Tuscan farmhouse floor — sunbaked terracotta warmth without the fragility of the real thing. This 20x20 terracotta look porcelain tile wears rich cotto tones under a soft matte finish.

Made in Spain by Codicer, the generous 20x20 square sets a classic, old-world grid, and glazed porcelain means none of traditional terracotta's staining or constant maintenance. Warm tonal shifts from tile to tile give the floor a lived-in, authentic feel, and each five-piece box covers about 13.5 square feet. Set it straight for a tidy grid, or turn the squares on the diagonal for a classic villa feel — both layouts flatter the format. A warm brown grout blends into the cotto tones, and afternoon light from a west-facing window makes the whole floor glow.

It grounds kitchens, sunrooms, dining rooms, and entries beautifully, pairing naturally with plaster walls, wood beams, and wrought iron.

Order a piece ahead of the project and let the cotto tones warm up next to your cabinetry before you make the call.

Finish the Job

A tile order isn't a finished job. Here's everything that goes in the truck with it — in stock at all three Florida stores, and ready to ship.

  1. Trim & finished edges

Every exposed edge needs a finished profile. Match your tile with bullnose, or wrap the edge in a metal or PVC profile. Ask us and we'll pull the trim that matches this series.

  2. Grout & caulk

Joints 1/8" and wider need sanded grout. Add matching caulk for inside corners, wall-to-floor joints and transitions.

    Shop Sanded Grout
  3. Thinset & mortar

Set your tile in the right mortar — large-format and porcelain want a modified, medium-bed thinset. Check coverage before you buy.

  4. Substrate prep

Prep what's underneath — uncoupling membrane, backer board or self-leveler — so the surface under your tile stays flat and stable.

    Shop Uncoupling Membrane
  5. Sealer & care

Seal cement grout once it has cured, and keep a tile-safe cleaner on hand. No acids, no bleach.

  6. Tools

Notched trowel, grout float, buckets, spacers and a leveling system — plus a cutter or wet saw sized to the tile you're setting.
