TEC PermaFlex 300 LHT Mortar is a one-component, polymer-modified thin-set built for the demands of large format tile. This Portland cement–based mortar sets large ceramic, porcelain, and stone tile firmly in place without lippage or shrinkage, and its medium-bed capability supports an embedded thickness from 3⁄32" to 1⁄2" (2.4 mm–12 mm) — ideal for overcoming the thickness irregularities common with big tile. It's engineered for interior and exterior floor and wall applications, giving you one dependable mortar across a wide range of jobs.

Versatile across tile types and substrates

Use PermaFlex 300 LHT to install porcelain, ceramic, and quarry tile, non-moisture-sensitive natural stone, cement tile, pavers, and high-bottom lugged tile. It bonds to a broad set of properly prepared substrates including cured concrete, Portland cement mortar, and cement backer unit (CBU). With TEC Acrylbond AMA acrylic latex additive, it also extends to approved plywood underlayment (interior floors) and well-bonded resilient surfaces such as VCT and non-cushioned vinyl.

Performance and standards you can specify

PermaFlex 300 LHT meets ANSI A118.4 and ISO 13007 C2, and exceeds ANSI A118.11 when mixed with TEC Acrylbond AMA additive. With a VOC content of 0 and contribution toward LEED project points, it's a strong fit for green building specifications. Contractors get good workability with a simple just-add-water mix, while the polymer modification delivers a strong, durable bond.

Packaging and coverage

Available in 50 lb. (22.68 kg) bags in Gray and White. Approximate coverage is 45–50 sq. ft. with a 3⁄8" slant-notch trowel, or 25–30 sq. ft. with a 3⁄4" rounded-notch trowel per 50 lb. bag; always select the trowel that ensures 100% coverage for your tile and substrate.

Install at temperatures between 50°F–90°F (10°C–32°C). Test all natural stone for discoloration before use. Not for green marble or other moisture-sensitive stone (use TEC AccuColor EFX Epoxy Grout and Mortar); not for use as a patch.
