Product Overview

Arhus Paja is a 12x60 straw oak wood look porcelain plank tile — paja means straw in Spanish, and the color is exactly that: pale, warm, and light-filled. At five feet long, each plank reads like premium wide-board flooring.

Made in Spain by KTL, the matte planks carry gentle grain movement in easygoing blond tones that pair with nearly any palette. Three planks per box cover 14.48 square feet, and the extra-long format means fewer joints and a calmer floor.

It's ideal for open-plan living, bedrooms, and Scandinavian-leaning interiors that want warmth without heaviness.

Set the planks in a staggered running bond so the straw tones drift naturally across the room, and choose a light sand-colored grout to let the joints disappear into the grain. Underfoot, the pale color bounces daylight deep into interiors, keeping even north-facing rooms feeling sunlit. It also flatters white walls, linen upholstery, and black-framed windows without competing.

Sample a single plank before you order — a 12x60 format is a commitment worth previewing at home.

Finish the Job

A tile order isn't a finished job. Here's everything that goes in the truck with it — in stock at all three Florida stores, and ready to ship.

  1. Trim & finished edges

Every exposed edge needs a finished profile. Match your tile with bullnose, or wrap the edge in a metal or PVC profile. Ask us and we'll pull the trim that matches this series.

  2. Grout & caulk

Joints 1/8" and wider need sanded grout. Add matching caulk for inside corners, wall-to-floor joints and transitions.

  3. Thinset & mortar

Set your tile in the right mortar — large-format and porcelain want a modified, medium-bed thinset. Check coverage before you buy.

  4. Substrate prep

Prep what's underneath — uncoupling membrane, backer board or self-leveler — so the surface under your tile stays flat and stable.

  5. Sealer & care

Seal cement grout once it has cured, and keep a tile-safe cleaner on hand. No acids, no bleach.

  6. Tools

Notched trowel, grout float, buckets, spacers and a leveling system — plus a cutter or wet saw sized to the tile you're setting.
