Each 11x12 marble mosaic tile sheet is cut from natural stone quarried in Turkey, then polished to a soft sheen that pulls the veining forward. Expect warm neutral tones with a gentle drift of gray and cream, and a little translucence where the polish catches. Because marble is porous, seal it before and after grouting so the surface stays easy to wipe and shrugs off splashes. Every sheet varies a little, and that lot-to-lot variation is the signature of real stone rather than a flaw to fix.
